Where do I enter my coupon code?

 

A field for the coupon code is available when you are signing up for a new subscription. A coupon code applies to the first box of a subscription.

1. Select either a 2 book subscription or a 3 book subscription

2. Enter your contact information to create an account

3. Enter the child's information

4. Next, there is a field to enter the coupon code and hit submit. If the coupon code is valid you will see price change! Who doesn't love saving money!

5. Enter payment information and submit submit and just like that you have a new subscription!

Can I buy someone else a gift book subscription for kids?

 

Yes! You can do this in one of two ways:

1. Purchase a Subscription and enter the recipient's address as the shipping address. You are the account holder. We'll send the book boxes directly to the recipient each month for you.

OR

2. Purchase a Gift Card for your preferred subscription length and send the gift code to the recipient. Your Gift recipient will redeem their Gift Card from our Redeem a Gift page and become the account holder. They create their own account, provide their shipping address, child name, birthdate, and preferences. Your recipient can redeem their Gift Subscription Gift Card and start receiving boxes right away.

 

Gift Subscription Cards cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable. Gift Cards do not expire.

How do I redeem a Gift Card (gift book subscription)?

 

Redeem your Gift Subscription Card by following these steps:

 

1. Enter your gift code on our Redeem a Gift Gard page and click Submit.

2. Create your account on the next screen. Add your child's name, birthdate as well as your shipping address and Submit. It will take you to your Account Dashboard. You're all set!

3. Optional: Fill out the Child Preferences questionnaire in your account dashboard - enter the child's likes, dislikes, or book types. If there are any specific notes about the child's reading level, or preference you can send us a note via the Feedback button in your dashboard.

 

Your first box will ship within 2-3 business days and on or around the same day of the month going forward!

What happens when a book subscription redeemed with a gift card ends?

 

Gift Cards/Gift book subscriptions are one-time purchases and do not renew automatically. Once all the paid book boxes are shipped the gifted subscription ends and expires. Here's how your child can continue receiving books:

1. The Gift Recipient can continue receiving books by logging into their account and purchasing a subscription and reactivating the subscription.

OR

2. The original Gift purchaser or another gift giver can purchase a new gift card and reach out to us to apply the new subscription to the original gift recipient's account.

Can I get a refund if I cancel before the last box of my prepaid subscription is sent?

 

It’s OK to change your mind and you can cancel at any time. We will process your cancellation and you will receive a cancellation confirmation email.

If there is a refund due, your cancellation confirmation email will have the refund transaction ID and the amount refunded back to the card you used at sign up. Since the prepaid subscription has not been completed, the boxes sent are now assessed at the month-to-month rate, which affects the refund amount. Also, please note that there is a restocking fee of $6 per unsent box to offset purchase and restocking go inventory. Also the bank fees charged by our payment processor are non-refundable.

Here is a sample calculation:

1. If you signed up for a six month, two book prepaid account at $18.95/box + $5/box s&h your total = $143.70
2. If you cancel after receiving three boxes, the rate for three sent boxes will change to the month-to-month box rate of ($22.95/box + $5 s&h) x 3 = $83.85
3. The restocking fee for 3 unsent boxes is $9/box x 3 boxes = $27
4. Non-refundable bank fees = $3.20

Your refund total then is: $143.70 - ($83.85 + $27 + $3.20) = $29.65. Your cancellation confirmation email will have the transaction ID as well as the total refunded to your card.

My subscription renewed and my card has been charged for the next cycle. I don’t want to continue the subscription, can I cancel and get a refund?

 

Yes, you can cancel and request a refund on prepaid subscriptions. If no boxes have been shipped yet, then we will process a refund less the bank processing fee and a $10 restocking fee. If one or more boxes have been shipped, please see our refund policy here. Please reach out to us and we will process your refund within 48 business hours.

What will be in the package every month?

 

We love the charm of vintage packaging! Each month, your child will receive a delightful box of curated books, lovingly wrapped in brown paper, stamped with a unique design, and tied with a colorful ribbon. The excitement of unwrapping a surprise package adds an extra layer of joy to the magic of reading!

We curate the books based on the age, reading level, and any additional information we know about the child. If you have completed the Child Preferences questionnaire in your account dashboard, we’ll handpick books tailored to their unique interests.

On their birthday month, we make it even more special with an extra gift-wrapped book as a delightful surprise!

We’re always on the lookout for fresh and exciting titles to keep our inventory inspiring and fun!

How much is the monthly subscription fee?

We have changed our subscription to the Little Fun Club with 2 simple pricing options that are month-to-month only. We no longer have a prepaid option. If you would like to purchase multiple months at once, select the gift card option.

BEFORE OCTOBER 2024: A monthly subscription to the Little Fun Club costs $29.95/month for three book box and $25.95/month for the two book box if you choose to pay monthly.

How is the billing done?

 

Your credit card will be charged on the day you subscribe and on the same day each subsequent month.

To change or update the credit card on file, log into your account and click on Credit Card and you can make changes.

I just signed up. When will the first box ship?

 

Your first box will be on its way within two business days of signing up—get ready to start the adventure! You will receive an email with the tracking code after each box ships!

After that, the fun continues with your monthly box shipped right on schedule, around the same day each month. It’s like Christmas each month, delivered right to your doorstep!

Who pays for the shipping?

 

There is a $5 shipping and handling fee per box for subscribers whose shipping address is within United States. Unfortunately, due to exorbitant shipping rates, we no longer ship outside the United States.

It is very important for subscribers to keep a current address on file! As soon as you know there is a change, keep your account updated! A returned box is charged $9 reshipping fee to cover USPS return costs, and shipping. When a box ships out of our office, our system generates an email with the tracking code. The boxes are picked up from our office and we are unable to reroute the box or change the addressee on the label after that. It will be returned to us.

UPDATE: Starting October 2024 all new subscriptions and Gift Card pricing includes shipping and handling. Reshipping fees still apply for returned mail.

How are the books selected?

 

Each box is curated with your child in mind! A team member takes into consideration your child's age, reading level, any preferences and information provided, to pick titles for each box. No two boxes are the same! Each of the books included in the box have been selected based on merit – these are either books from The Association for Library Service to Children, award winning books, or books by distinguished authors. We look for good reads that your child may not have come across yet.

The interests of our readers are important to us as well! When you let us know that your child is suddenly interested in Wildlife - we keep a look out for books with that theme. We believe that reading what you are interested in, expands a love of reading!

What should be the age of my child for me to subscribe to your service?

 

The Little Fun Club has been designed for children ages 0 to 12.

 

That said, we have been in business long enough now that we have readers who are older than 12 and still want to receive books from us! We are happy to continue sending books to excited readers - we raise the reading level and make sure we are sending books that are of interest to them!

Should I purchase a subscription if my child is less than a year old?

 

Yes! Looking for a unique and meaningful baby shower gift? A subscription to our book box is a thoughtful way to help parents start their little one’s library early! It’s also a fantastic gift from grandparents living far away. After all, it’s never too early to spark a love for books!

 

For babies under one year old, reading out loud is one of the best ways to nurture their growing brain. Their world is expanding rapidly, and hearing your voice—whether you’re talking, singing, or reading—helps build essential language skills. Sharing a story not only entertains but also gives your newborn the comfort of your favorite sound: you.

Are these new or used books?

 

Everything included in the package is brand new. All the books are brand new.

Can I cancel my subscription?

 

Your convenience matters to us! You can cancel your subscription at any time, hassle-free. Simply send us an email or submit a cancellation request from your account dashboard, and our dedicated support team will take care of it promptly.

 

We’re always here to assist you with any questions or concerns—your satisfaction is our priority!

Can I put my subscription on hold?

 

If you need a break or you are out of town for the holidays, we’re happy to put your account on hold for up to three months—no charges will be made to your card during this time. Pause your subscription and restart when you are ready.

Simply fill out the hold request form in your account dashboard, and let us know how long you’d like the hold to last. Our team with make sure that your account is updated and it is ready for you when you return!

Will you provide tracking number for the package once it is shipped?

 

As soon as your package is shipped you receive an email with the tracking number to track your package through USPS. You will receive an email with each box that ships out.

Can I edit the shipping or billing addresses or the credit card on file?

Your account dashboard has all the tools you need to make updates anytime.

To change the shipping address, simply log in and click the Shipping Address button. For billing address updates, click the Account button. It’s quick, simple, and designed to keep you in control!

Can we suggest new books?

 

We are readers and we know there is a great army of good readers out there! Please send us your suggestions through our Contact/Feedback in your account or email [email protected]

Is it possible to subscribe and receive one box for two kids?

 

Yes, we offer shared boxes! If the children live at the same address, you can include 2-3 children in one subscription, depending on the box size. Here’s how it works:

 

1. 2 Kids + 2-Book Box: Each child gets one book.

2. 3 Kids + 3-Book Box: Each child gets one book.

3. 2 Kids + 3-Book Box: Each child gets one book, and the third book is shared (or you can request two books for one child and one for the other).

We’re happy to accommodate your preferences—just let us know your needs, and our team will assist with suggestions!

 

How to Set Up a Shared Box:

1. Sign up and submit a subscription with the first child’s information.

2. Log into your account dashboard and click the ADD A CHILD button to include a second or third child in the same box.

 

For Existing Subscribers:
If your reader has a new sibling and you’d like to add them to the same box, log in and use the ADD A CHILD button. If you prefer a separate box for the new child, you can also select ADD A CHILD and create a new box for them.

How do I order more than one box?

 

Start by signing up for the first box—this will create your account in our system.

 

Once your account is set up:

 

1. Click on ADD A CHILD in your dashboard.

2. Choose the option to receive a separate box for the new child and set up.

 

You can repeat these steps as many times as needed to add more children and create additional boxes. It’s simple, flexible, and designed to grow with your family!

How are the boxes addressed?

 

We absolutely love the idea of sending a box of books straight to your little one! That’s why we address each box directly to the child (or children) on the account—because it’s all about making them feel extra special!

 

Want to make sure there’s no confusion with the Post Office? Just let us know the parent or caregiver’s name, and we’ll include that on the box too, ensuring it gets to the right hands without a hitch.

 

It’s all part of the magic—books delivered straight to their door, just for them!

What types of books can I expect?

 

We put a lot of heart into picking the perfect books for your child! Each month, we hand-pick award-winning, thought-provoking titles—everything from timeless classics to board books, picture books, and exciting chapter books.

 

We intentionally avoid the super popular, commercialized titles you might already have. There’s a whole world of amazing, lesser-known books waiting to be discovered, and we can’t wait to share them with you!

How are the books assigned to the child?

 

We take your child’s age, reading level, and any extra info you share to carefully choose the perfect books! Fill out the optional CHILD PREFERENCES questionnaire in your account dashboard—it really helps us create the best experience for your little one. If you would rather write it out, send a note using the FEEDBACK button in your account. If you have received a gift and don't have access to the account, email us at [email protected] - let us know the CHILD'S NAME, ACCOUNT HOLDER'S NAME, and notes you would like us to have. We add your input to the subscription to help us select books!

 

The more details you give us (favorite genres, subjects, or books they adore—and even what to avoid!), the more personalized their boxes can be. And don’t forget, you can update your preferences anytime, especially as you receive more books!

 

Each box is individually curated by one of our team members—no assembly line here! We’re dedicated to putting together a box that’s unique and thoughtful, based on your child’s interests and your input. The result? A box filled with books they’ll love, every time!

What if I receive a duplicate book?

 

Our system is designed to prevent sending the same book twice to your account—but we’re all human, and sometimes mistakes can happen! While our subscriber management software works hard to avoid this, if you do receive a duplicate, here’s what you can do:

 

Let us know right away. Either through the FEEDBACK button on your account, email [email protected], or call us. W will make a note and send a replacement book in your next box to make sure your collection stays fresh and exciting!

Feel free to donate the extra copy to a friend, a local library, or anyone who’d love it! Our goal is to get as many books to kids as possible!

My child has collected so many books! How do we make room for more?

 

Instead of canceling your subscription—why not get a bigger bookshelf? (Just kidding, of course!) If you’re running out of space, keep your child’s favorite books and consider sharing, organizing a book exchange, or donating the rest.

 

Don’t let a little bookshelf challenge stop your little one from enjoying more amazing stories—there’s always room for more great content!

Can I see the titles the child will receive each month?

 

Absolutely! Just log in to your account, and you can view the titles that have been assigned to your child. Don’t forget to rate the books you’ve already received—it helps us fine-tune the next box and make sure your child’s reading experience keeps getting better!

Will you ever be sold out?

 

No way! We’re always on the lookout for fresh, exciting titles to keep your child’s reading experience fun and new. Our team is constantly curating a diverse collection of books—whether they’re hidden gems or new releases—that will spark curiosity and creativity in your little one.

We make sure that you’ll never have to worry about missing out on a great story. We’ve got you covered with a constant flow of fantastic books, delivered straight to your door!

How do I put my account on hold till I get back on track?

 

Life happens! Whether you need a break, are traveling, or just need to hit the pause button for a while, we’re happy to put your account on hold for up to three months—no charges to your card during this time.

 

It’s super easy: Simply log into your account and fill out the hold request form to choose how long you’d like to pause your subscription. If you prefer, just reach out to our friendly team, and we’ll take care of it for you.
